      Medak: Police impose fine on shops for selling meat on Gandhi Jayanti

      Despite the ban on non-vegetarian and liquor sales on the occasion of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the owners kept the shops open and were caught selling the meat. Medak: Police caught a couple of chicken shops selling non-vegetarian at Kucharam and Muppireddypally villages in Manoharabad mandal on Wednesday. Despite the ban on non-vegetarian and liquor sales on the occasion of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the owners kept the shops open and were caught selling the meat. The police imposed a Rs 4,000 fine on each of these shop owners.
