Jhulan Goswami’s last match ended on a controversial note as bowler Deepti Sharma turned to the mankading technique to get the last wicket of the match giving Team India a 16-run victory against England Women in the third ODI. Right after the match in Lord’s, London on Friday; a presenter asked Captain Harmanpreet Kaur what she thought of the dismissal. Backing Sharma, she gave a savage reply. “To be honest, I thought you will ask about all ten wickets, because they were not easy to take,” she said. ‘It stinks!’ – Michael Vaughan blasts India over Mankad controversy against England

Former England captain and cricket commentator Michael Vaughan has blasted India over this weekend’s Mankad controversy at Lord’s. Deepti Sharma’s controversial run out of Charlotte Dean in the third ODI between England and India has sparked debate among pundits, players and fans. England were closing in on an unlikely win but India secured a 16-run victory when Dean was run out after leaving her ground early at the non-strikers end. Sharma took the bails off after entering her delivery stride despite never bowling the ball, which is known as a Mankad. The tactic, named after India international Vinoo Mankad, is technically allowed in cricket but is massively frowned upon – and England’s Dean was left visibly upset among her stunned team-mates – as…

Australia beat India by 4 wickets in the 1st T20

Wade has played a special knock to help Australia pull off this magnificent run chase. India had pulled things back to quite an extent with those wickets in the middle overs, but Wade has played another fantastic innings to take his team over the line. Cameron Green was at his destructive best in the powerplay, and he made India pay for their mistakes. Was out lbw, but India didn’t go up for a review. And later, he was also dropped by Axar Patel. Axar made up for that dropped catch with three wickets, but India’s bowling towards the end of the innings was pretty ordinary. Wade punished them to all parts on the park, and due to this impressive knock…
