Boult announces its maiden smartwatch, Drift — First impressions
Boult Audio, a homegrown personal audio brand, is making its first foray into the wearables space with its maiden smartwatch, the Boult Drift. The company announced the smartwatch on Monday at a price of Rs 7,999 and will be available to purchase on Flipkart. The smartwatch boasts of features like IP68 watch resistance, heart-rate sensor, blood oxygen monitor, Bluetooth calling, AI voice assistant, message notifications, step counter, calorie counter, blood pressure monitor, menstrual cycle tracking and more than 60 sports modes. WhatsApp says it banned over 19 lakh bad accounts in India in May
Meta-owned WhatsApp on Friday said that it banned over 19 lakh bad accounts in India in the month of May in compliance with the new IT Rules 2021. The platform had banned over 16.6 lakh bad accounts in India in April. The company also received 528 grievance reports in May within the country, and the accounts “actioned” were 24. A50-year-old Indian-origin tech entrepreneur has been arrested in the US for an alleged investment scheme that defrauded more than 10,000 victims of over $45 million and netted him several luxury cars and real estate, according to a report by news agency PTI. Neil Chandran, of Las Vegas in Nevada, was arrested on Wednesday in Los Angeles, the Department of Justice said.
