This technology would benefit future exploration under the Artemis mission that aims to land the first woman and the first person of colour on the lunar surface and establish long-term exploration in preparation for missions to Mars. Lockheed Martin, Westinghouse and IX (a joint venture from Intuitive Machines and X-Energy), won the 12-month contracts, to be awarded through the DOE’s Idaho National Laboratory, which are each valued at approximately $5 million. Apple’s iOS 16, iPad OS 16, and macOS Ventura could come with one important change: The ability to bypass CAPTCHA on most websites. CAPTCHA which stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart” is what many of us encounter on a daily basis when navigating through websites and apps. You are either asked to enter a set of letters and numbers in a box or identify traffic lights from a box from pictures to prove you are a human and not a bot. NASA satellite spots peculiar cloud over the Caspian Sea

It is not unusual to spot clouds hovering over at least part of the largest inland body of water on the planet, the Caspian Sea. but on May 28, NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) spotted a peculiarly-shaped cloud drifting across the water body. The cloud had well-defined edges resembling something from a cartoon, or something painted onto the scenery, in sharp contrast with the typical diffused and dispersed cloud cover. According to Bastiaan van Diedenhoven, who is an atmospheric scientist at SRON Netherlands Institute for Space Research, the cloud is a small stratocumulus cloud. Cumulus clouds are detached “heaps” of “cauliflower-shaped” clouds that are usually found during good weather conditions. In stratocumulus clouds, these heaps are clumped together, forming…

iPad Air 5 (2022) 64GB model will miss out on the virtual memory swap feature from iPadOS 16

t WWDC 2022, Apple announced that it would be bringing its new Stage Manager and virtual memory swap feature to iPadOS 16. The two new features will be available on all three M1 iPads, including the iPad Air (2022) and both 2021 iPad Pro models. However, it turns out that the base model of the iPad Air 5 will lack both features. Apple’s virtual memory swap feature works similarly to virtual RAM on smartphones, it reallocates unused storage as virtual RAM when the actual RAM is fully utilized. Memory swapping is a common feature on PCs and Macs, however, it hasn’t been available on the iPad, i.e., until iPadOS 16. Apple says that iPadOS 16 allows the most demanding apps…
