Several Apple iPod models to be marked as obsolete this month
San Francisco: Tech giant Apple is likely planning to declare some iPod models, including the last iPod nano, a few models of the final iPod shuffle, and fifth-generation iPod touch models, obsolete later this month. In a memo sent to authorised service providers, the tech giant said that the late 2012 model of the iPod shuffle, alongside the seventh-generation iPod nano and the fifth-generation model iPod touch, will be marked as obsolete on September 30, reports MacRumors. Apple has already designated the 16GB model of the fifth-generation iPod touch as obsolete, and it plans to add the 32GB and 64GB models to the list later this month. Android 14 to bring direct satellite connectivity to smartphones
San Francisco: Tech giant Google said that the upcoming Android 14 will “support our partners in enabling all of this” after SpaceX and T-Mobile unveiled plans to deliver direct satellite connectivity to smartphones. On Twitter, Hiroshi Lockheimer, Senior Vice President of Platforms and Ecosystems at Google, described how it “was a stretch to get 3G + Wifi working” on the first shipping Android phone (HTC Dream/T-Mobile G1) in 2008, reports 9To5Google. “Wild to think about user experiences for phones that can connect to satellites. New Delhi: Twitter on Thursday announced it has finally rolled out a small test for its much-awaited Edit Tweet feature, which will be available for Twitter Blue subscribers in the coming weeks. Royal Caribbean cruise ships 1st to use Musk’s Starlink for better internet
San Francisco: Royal Caribbean Group has become the first in the global cruise industry to adopt SpaceX Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency Internet services for a better onboard experience for guests and crew. The broadband internet service from the Elon Musk-run company will be installed on all Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises ships, along with all new vessels for each of the brands.
