Big jump in Apple’s India revenue in June quarter, Tim Cook reacts
Technology giant Apple, which recorded 83 billion dollars in revenue for the third quarter ended June 2022, has reported a “near doubling” of revenue in India. Announcing financial results for its fiscal 2022 third quarter ended June 25, Apple on Thursday said it has achieved a revenue record of USD 83 billion, up 2 percent year-over-year. iPhone revenue reaches $40.7 billion despite headwinds in June quarter
Riding on the iPhone 13 series, Apple saw its iPhone revenue jump 3 per cent to a record $40.7 billion in its June quarter. Tesla’s Autopilot system kills another motorcyclist, US begins probe
A Tesla vehicle has allegedly killed another motorcyclist, this time in the Utah state in the US when a driver using Autopilot slammed into the rear of his bike. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has added the fatal accident to its list. Forty-eight crashes are under investigation, 39 of which involve Tesla vehicles. The Utah highway patrol team said that the incident occurred on Sunday on southbound I-15, according to local reports. Apple iOS 16 reduces time limit for unsending iMessages
Apple iOS 16 will let users edit an iMessage for five times and once they reach the limit, the edit option will disappear from the long-press menu. In previous releases of iOS 16, the company allowed 15 minutes to unsend a message. With the latest update, the time frame has been significantly reduced to two minutes. The user will still have 15 minutes to edit a message. Google Maps launches street view in 10 Indian cities, including Hyderabad
New Delhi: Google Maps has launched its street view service across 10 cities in India in partnership with two local companies, the firm said on Wednesday. The government had previously not allowed showing of panoramic images of roads and other sites for security reasons. In a statement, Google said Street View is being launched in partnership with Genesys International and Tech Mahindra. “Starting today, Street View will be available on Google Maps with fresh imagery licensed from local partners covering over 1,50,000 km across ten cities in India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik, Vadodara, Ahmednagar, and Amritsar,” it said. Microsoft’s earnings suffer as computer sales decline
The US technology giant, Microsoft on Tuesday said that its earnings for the recent quarter fell short of expectations as the sales of personal computers suffered due to low demand and supply delays from China. The tech firm beat market expectations with a $16.7 billion profit on $51.9 billion in revenue but fell short of the same quarter year earlier.
