Health and Tech: Sensor-based wearable to manage diabetes
Modern technology is transforming personalised medicine at a very quick pace. The days of pricking fingertips for a drop of blood to test glucose at home are quickly disappearing. In the near future, the elementary home testing devices to measure sugar levels could well be replaced by wearables that can track glucose/sugar in the body all through the day, without the need to prick the fingertip with the needle (lancet) for blood. Yes, just like the smartwatch wearables that track heart rate, ECG and blood oxygen saturation levels in the body, medical device manufacturers and service providers have already started offering wearables, known as Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) devices that track glucose levels in the body 24/7. In fact, apart…

iQOO Neo 6 review: A no-brainer gaming phone that also delivers great value
The iQOO Neo 6 is basically an iQOO 9 SE Lite in spirit. Like the iQOO 9 SE, the idea here is also, presumably, to give you a high-end gaming experience at slightly more affordable prices. You could probably look at the iQOO 7 if you’re looking for something like that. It’s roughly selling at around the same price as the Neo 6 at the time of writing. But as brilliant as it is, it won’t be as future proof whether it be in software (it will be updated to Android 13 tops) or 5G (it, infamously, supports only one band). We understand that some of you may be fine with that, in which case, the iQOO 7 should be…

Robots that move like animals
Hyderabad: For decades, robot makers have turned to animals to help them understand how to build a machine that can travel over Earth’s diverse terrain. Almost any animal you can imagine has been used as inspiration for robots. That’s because animals — including humans — are good at doing things that roboticists would like their machines to do, like picking things up, jumping or maneuvering over rubble. Robots have been built to imitate the dash of a cheetah, the dexterousness of an opossum’s tail and the manipulative grasp of a human hand. Here are a few robots that owe their animation to animals: Cockroach-inspired RHex is a hexapedal robot designed to be able to wander over uneven ground. Cockroaches are able…
