JNTU-Hyderabad Students Protection Forum suggest breaking seven full day sessions into 14-half day sessions
Hyderabad: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) – Hyderabad research scholars on Friday urged the university administration to change the research methodology classes’ schedule.
In a representation submitted to University Registrar Prof K Venkateswara Rao, the JNTU-Hyderabad Students Protection Forum said several research scholars also have full-time jobs and it would not be possible to take an entire week off from work to attend classes.
“This puts us in a tough spot, where we have to pick between our jobs and research work,” Forum said.
Seeking a flexible schedule for the research methodology course classes, the students body suggested breaking the seven full day sessions into 14-half day sessions, spreading over the month.
“This will make it easier to attend classes without losing our jobs. We believe this change will mean better attendance and a better learning experience for all research scholars,” the forum added.
