CM KCR inaugurates BRS national headquarters in Delhi

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy, apart from leaders of several other regional parties attended the inaugural ceremony.

Hyderabad: In the first step towards marking the presence of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the national capital, party President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday inaugurated the BRS national headquarters at Sardar Patel Marg in Delhi.

The inaugural ceremony saw the presence of leaders from like-minded political parties and farmers unions from different parts of the country. Chandrashekhar Rao unfurled the party flag at 12.37 pm as per the muhurat and assumed his chair in the party office, before signing the party appointment letters at around 12.43 pm.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader and MP T. Thirumavalavan from Tamil Nadu and leaders of several other regional parties attended the inaugural ceremony. Farmer leaders from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu too were present.

The Chief Minister arrived at the BRS national office at around 12 noon and along with his wife Shobha, participated in the Purnahuti marking the conclusion of the two-day Rajashyamala Yagam at the party office. A total of 12 ritwiks led by Gopikrishna Sharma and Phani Shashanka Sharma from Sringeri Peetham conducted the yagam. They also performed the Nava Chandi Homam and the Rajashyamala Homam.

At exactly 12.37 pm, Chandrashekhar Rao hoisted the party flag amidst slogans of ‘Jai Bharat, Jai BRS, Jai KCR’ and proceeded to inaugurate the party office. He then occupied his chambers on the first floor of the office. Leaders from various political parties and farmers unions, congratulated Chandrashekhar Rao on this occasion.

At 12.43 pm, his first signature on the party letterhead as the BRS national president was on the formation of the Bharat Rashtra Kisan Samithi, the farmers’ wing affiliated to the BRS.

As the BRS president, he handed over the appointment letters to Bharatiya Kisan union (Charuni) national president Gurnam Singh Charuni of Haryana, who has been appointed the BRKS president, and Ravi Kohar, who has been appointed as office secretary of BRS in Delhi.

The newly inaugurated national headquarters of BRS and its surroundings buzzed with guests from various parts of the country, arriving in large numbers. A festive atmosphere prevailed with the presence of the party leaders including Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other senior leaders who reached Delhi to participate in the inaugural ceremony. The surroundings of the BRS party office shimmered in pink with flex banners and cutouts.
