Incident occurred at Shanti Nagar in Annapureddypalle mandal when the tipper was going back to Sathupalli after unloading coal at Rudrampur coal handling plant
Kothagudem: A coal tipper driver had a narrow escape as the tipper’s cabin caught fire following an electric short circuit in the engine in the district on Thursday.
The incident occurred at Shanti Nagar in Annapureddypalle mandal when the tipper was going back to Sathupalli after unloading coal at Rudrampur coal handling plant here. The driver, whose identity was not known, jumped off the cabin as soon as he spotted the fire.
Firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire after receiving information from the locals. The engine and cabin were badly damaged in the incident. Annapureddypalle SI Chandrasekhar visited the spot.
