Congress unmatched in ‘golmaal’; Duplicate Gandhis came from Delhi with empty promises, says KCR
He recalled how, as if the local leaders were not enough, “duplicate” Gandhis arrived from New Delhi and promised Rs. 15,000 under Rythu Bandhu, a higher amount than what KCR was offering, and questioned what happened to that promise.
Hyderabad: Training his guns at the ruling Congress party, BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao asked what had happened to all the promises made by the Congress even after one and a half years of being in power.
No one can match the Congress in ‘golmaal’ and uttering lies to people, he said.
As if the leaders here were not enough, “duplicate” Gandhis landed from New Delhi and assured that Rs.15,000 would be offered under Rythu Bandhu, higher than what KCR was giving, he recalled, asking what happened to the promise.
The Congress has a history of such gimmicks.
“The Congress had tied up with BRS (then TRS) and supporting letters were secured from 36 parties. Despite all these efforts, when Congress denied Telangana, I started an indefinite strike, risking my life. Fearing backlash, the Congress had made an announcement and then immediately backtracked. Following this deceit, people from all sections, launched strikes and protests, including Sakala Janula Samme,” he recalled.
