Congress will make Ballari ‘Jeans Capital’: Rahul
The former AICC chief promised to set up an apparel park at a cost Rs 5000 crore in Ballari
He further assured the people of Ballari that once Congress comes to power in the state he would personally speak to the Chief Minister and ensure that the promise is fulfilled.
Ballari: AICC former president Rahul Gandhi has made a promise to turn Ballari into the ‘Jeans Capital’ by setting up an apparel park in the district with a budget of Rs 5,000 crore.
Speaking at a rally in Ballari, Gandhi expressed his vision of seeing the youth all over the world wearing jeans with ‘Made in Ballari’ written on them.
“I want to make a promise that Ballari will be made the Jeans Capital. We will set up an apparel park here. I want to see the day when the youth in the entire world wears jeans with ‘Made in Bellary, Made in Karnataka’ written on them,” said Gandhi.
He further assured the people of Ballari that once Congress comes to power in the state he would personally speak to the Chief Minister and ensure that the promise is fulfilled.
“Usually, I do not make such personal promises, but this is a promise we will fulfil. You will see that in five years, this will be made Jeans Capital,” he added.
In his speech, Gandhi also highlighted the need for change in Karnataka.
He emphasized that the change should not only be for the election but for the betterment of the people’s lives.
