Hyderabad: The Bowenpally police on Saturday arrested a couple for cheating two women in a real estate scam.
The suspects, Parashuramulu and his wife Madhavi of Narsingi, floated a fake venture under the name Skanda Sri Infra Developers. Police said they created forged documents and collected Rs 22.5 lakh from two women, Ramya and Veena, on the pretext of selling property.
When the victims demanded registration of the plots, the couple allegedly threatened them.
Following a complaint, the Bowenpally police booked a case and arrested the couple.
