On pretext of providing land at cheaper rates for construction of temples the suspect U Narsimhlu cheated NVV Subrahmanyam by providing forged documents.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police arrested a conman for cheating people on pretext of providing land at cheaper rates for construction of temples.
The suspect, U Narsimhlu, a native of Shivampet mandal in Medak district met the victim NVV Subrahmanyam, a resident of Qutbullapur, at the Tahsildar Shivampet office in 2018. Narsimhlu introduced himself as an employee of the Tahsildar office and assured to provide Subrahmanyam land for construction of a temple.
The alleged conman showed some government land parcels to Subrahmanyam and provided him documents pertaining to a land parcel at Shivampet. Narsimhlu collected Rs. 1.20 crore from Subrahmanyam. On verification of the documents later, the victim came to know that those were forged documents.
The victim approached the police who after verification of the allegations registered a case and arrested Narsimhlu. The conman had allegedly cheated one more person in a similar manner of Rs. 50 lakh, said DCP (EOW), K Prasad.
