Trainee IAS officers, policemen, youngsters and students were among the participants, district SP says sacrifices of policemen unforgettable
Adilabad: A cycle rally was taken out to mark on the ongoing police martyrs commemoration week in Adilabad on Friday. Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam, who was the chief guest of the event, flagged off the rally.
Around 200 cyclists winded through Collectorate Chowrasta, NTR, Vinayak, Devi Chandra Chowk, Gandhi, Netaji, Basaveshwar Chowks and bus stand before culminating at R&B guest house in the town. Trainee IAS officers, policemen, youngsters and students were among the participants. Alam thanked them for taking part in the rally.
The SP said the sacrifices of policemen were unforgettable. The department would conduct similar events to commemorate sacrifices of the police, who laid down lives in the line of duty.
He recalled that 214 policemen lost lives in the country. He recounted that Ade Praveen sacrificed his life while discharging duties in 2023. Additional SP Surender Rao, DSPs Potharam Srinivas Rao, L Jeevan Reddy, Haseebullah, B Surender Reddy, Inspectors and sub-inspectors were present.
