Actor Shah Rukh Khan is all set to rule the year 2023 with his much-awaited films. However, it’s not enough for fans, they are eager to know when Farhan Akhtar and Shah Rukh Khan will officially announce Don 3.
The anticipation over the film increased when Farhan shared a picture of himself where he was seen picking up the pen to write something, and on the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan shared a throwback photo with Shah Rukh Khan signing the Don poster.
Now, we have an update on the film and it might not bring a smile to your face. Yes, you read it right. According to the latest reports, the film has hit a roadblock after Shah Rukh was not “fully convinced” with the script of the film. The reports also suggest that Shah Rukh has rejected the film because he wants to be “doubly sure”, especially after the current scenario of the films at the box office.
A source was quoted as saying by the Bollywood Hungama report, “It’s not like Shah Rukh Khan didn’t like the script. It’s just that Shah Rukh was not fully convinced. He knows Don is an iconic role and would like to step back into the character once he’s completely confident of the script. The box office scenario is not very healthy and he wants to be doubly sure before signing on the dotted line.”
The report further stated that Farhan Akhtar has gone back to the drawing board to make changes in the script so that Shah Rukh Khan gets convinced.
