‘Doesn’t These Hurt Sentiments’ Prakash Raj Slams Presence Of PM Modi, RSS Idols In Pandals

As people welcomed Lord Ganesha in their homes on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi recently, several pictures of unique Ganpati idols broke the internet.

Amid the festivities, a few photos of Lord Ganesh idols inspired by popular pan-India films like Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise & Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 went viral on social media.

A section of netizens isn’t happy with Ganpati Bappa being given the avatar of goons. After seeing the pictures of Pushpa and KGF-inspired Ganesha idols, people expressed their displeasure on social media for allegedly ‘insulting Hinduism’.

For the unversed, Allu Arjun’s character in Pushpa is a smuggler while Yash plays a most-wanted goon in the KGF franchise.

Now, actor Prakash Raj has reacted to the ongoing controversy and shared a few old pictures of PM Narendra Modi and RSS idols present in Ganpati pandals.

Taking to Twitter, he asked why no one is questioning the presence of these idols in pandals. He wrote, “Doesn’t these hurt our sentiments… #justasking”
