Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis to fly to Delhi to finalise cabinet berths

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will fly to Delhi on Friday to finalise the formula for cabinet expansion with the BJP’s central leaders. The duo are expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda.

As reported by the Free Press Journal, the cabinet expansion is expected before July 15 with BJP getting a lion’s share.

BJP is expected to get ministerial berths including 20 cabinet and 8 ministers of state while Shinde camp will get 15 ministerial berths including 11 cabinet and 4 ministers of state.

Shinde is expected to hold the general administration, urban development and MSRDC while Fadnavis will be in charge of home and finance.
