The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested K Sujatha, a junior assistant at the Vikarabad Collector’s office, after she was caught accepting a bribe. The ACB registered a case following a complaint and conducted a trap operation that led to her arrest.
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Tuesday caught a junior assistant working at the Vikarabad Collector’s office when she demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs. 15,000 from a man for doing official work.
The junior assistant, K Sujatha working at the Vikarabad collector office had demanded the amount from a man for processing the documents pertaining to two acres of land and dispatching the collector’s order to the Tahsildar Nawabpet office, said the ACB in a press release.
On a complaint, the ACB registered a case and laid a trap at the Vikarabad collectorate. The ACB team caught the junior assistant red handed when she accepted the amount. She was arrested and is being produced before the court. The case is under investigation.
