Exclusive: Will Raveena Tandon be a part of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’? Her reply

Raveena Tandon ‘would love’ to work on the sequel of ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, as told to IndiaToday.in. Aamir Khan, during an Instagram Live, recently said that filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script. However, he added a disclaimer that it is in the initial phase and told his fans to not get too excited about it. ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is a cult Bollywood comedy of 1994, which starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor.

After Aamir Khan hinted at ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ sequel, Raveena Tandon exclusively told IndiaToday.in if she would like to be a part of the film. “I would love to do it”, Raveena quipped. Further adding, “A good comedy is something I would love to do.”

On March 14, Aamir Khan spoke about ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ during an Instagram live. During his interaction with fans, the actor dropped a hint about the sequel to the iconic comedy entertainer. Sharing a hint, Aamir further mentioned, “Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’.”

The superstar also added that it is in the beginning stages and that it’s too early to get excited about the film.

‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ has been in discussion for a while now, and with Aamir hinting at it, we can anticipate the return of iconic characters, Amar and Prem, portrayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, respectively.

It is to be noted that ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994), directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, is considered a cult classic in Bollywood’s comedy genre. Fans loved the bond shared between Aamir and Salman in the film. It also starred Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor in key roles.

Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon plays a lawyer in ‘Patna Shuklla’. She exclusively spoke to IndiaToday.in about getting choosier with scripts. She said, “I definitely am much choosier than what I started off with. But those days were different. Today is different. Today, you can end up doing great quality work rather than quantity. I’m enjoying this phase because I’m getting to do the kind of roles that I wanted to do.”

She concluded with, “Through these roles, even after enjoying the success of the films or the shows that I’m doing, I’m very happy that even the messages are going across. It’s kind of bringing the conversation to the table. And that is something that gives me great satisfaction.”
