Fans arrived at the theater by 4 AM for a movie scheduled to screen at 5:30 AM, but it still hadn’t started by 7:30 AM. Tensions rose as some youths engaged in heated arguments with the theater management, and in a fit of rage, several fans broke the theater’s windows.
Kothagudem: Telugu movie actor Jr NTR’s fans vandalised Venkateswara theatre at Paloncha in the district on Friday over the delay in screening the first show (benefit show) of newly released Devara movie.
Fans have reached the theatre by 4 am but the movie, which was supposed to be screened at 5.30 am, was not screened even at 7.30. Then some youths entered into arguments with the theatre management leading to tense moments at that time some of the fans in a fit of rage broke the windows of the theatre. The fans complained that they have bought tickets for Rs 500 in black while each ticket costs Rs 250.
In Khammam, fans demanded action against a theatre where the movie’s benefit show was screened accusing the theatre management of cheating the movie goers. They complained that the management sold tickets at Rs 1200 and a single ticket was sold to two to three persons.
The fans further alleged that the theatre management failed to control the crowds as many without tickets barged inside the theatre while those with tickets were left outside. Many were forced to stand to watch the movie as the theatre was overcrowded.
