Medak: An electric fence placed around a paddy field to protect it from wild boars turned a death trap for a farmer at Maktha Lakshmapur in Pedda Shankarampet mandal on Sunday.
According to the police, Nagadhar Bethaiah, 55, had placed electric fencing around his field to prevent the entry of wild boars into his field. However, he came in touch with the live electric wires accidentally while supplying irrigation water to his field. He died on the spot.
The police have registered a case.
