In the first incident, two motorists were killed after being hit by a rashly driven car in Secunderabad, while in the second, two private travel buses collided, leaving several passengers seriously injured in Yadadri-Bhongir district.
Hyderabad: Two persons died after a rashly driven car hit a motorcycle near Mahankali temple area in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
A rash and negligent driving is suspected to be the reason.
While one person was killed on the spot, the other was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
In another accident, thirteen persons were injured, one of them seriously, in a major road accident involving two private buses and a heavy container truck near Dharmojigudem near Choutuppal on the Hyderabad- Vijayawada highway on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred as all the vehicles bound for Hyderabad rammed into one another from behind.
The driver of one of the private travel buses was trapped in the cabin. He was removed from the cabin with the help of the police. The injured persons were shifted to the hospital.
Under the supervision of Choutuppal ACP Madhusudan Reddy and Traffic ACP Prabhakar Reddy, police worked for over two hours to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the traffic on the highway.
