Nirmal: Fire broke out from the kitchen of a government school, reportedly due to leakage in an LPG cylinder at Shantinagar here on Wednesday. No casualties were reported. The cost of property damaged in the mishap was assessed to be Rs 30,000.
Officials of the education department said crockery and some essential commodities were burnt. Staffers of the school informed officials of the fire department, who in turn rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames.
The teachers heaved a sigh of relief with no students getting injured in the mishap.
