Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a five-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted and later killed by a man at Uppal in the city.
The family of the boy are natives of Chattisgarh and stayed in a house in Ramanthapur area. On August 12, the parents of the boy made a complaint at the Uppal police station stating that the child went missing after leaving the house.
The police, who checked the footage of the closed circuit cameras installed in the locality noticed that a man, Kumar who is a native of Bihar moving around suspiciously. The police picked up Kumar and on interrogation, he admitted to have kidnapped the boy, took him to a secluded place and sexually assaulted him.The suspect then strangulated the boy to death for fear of getting caught and dumped the body at an isolated place in bushes.
The police arrested Kumar and remanded him. The body of the boy was shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary where after a postmortem examination it was handed over to the family.
