Dr. Pratyasha’s husband Dr. Alladi Srujan, his father Madhusudhan, mother Punyavathi and Srujan’s lover Banoth Shruthi were arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
Hanamkonda: Hasanparthy police arrested four persons in connection with the death of dental surgeon Dr. Pratyusha, who died by suicide at Hasanparthy in the district on Sunday night.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday Kazipet ACP P Prashanth Reddy stated that Dr. Pratyasha’s husband Dr. Alladi Srujan, his father Madhusudhan, mother Punyavathi and Srujan’s lover Banoth Shruthi were arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
He said Dr. Srujan, who works as a consultant cardiologist at Medicover Hospital, got acquainted with Shruthi, a social media influencer known by her Instagram account ‘Buttabomma_17’, when the latter was engaged by Medicover management to do a promotional video about the hospital. They later fell in love and it led to clashes among Dr. Pratyusha and Dr. Srujan.
The couple had a clash on Sunday evening over the matter and Dr. Pratyusha went to her bedroom and locked the doors from inside. As there was no response from her after some time Dr. Srujan made a hole in the door and found her hanging from the ceiling fan.
Later with the help of the neighbours he broke the doors open and took her to NSR Hospital at Arepalli. The doctors at the hospital declared her dead, the ACP explained.
