Sangareddy: Four employees of Arene Life Sciences Limited at Siddapur in Sadasivapet mandal sustained serious burn injuries when inflammable chemicals spilled on them while they were working on Wednesday evening.
The injured employees have been identified as Shiva Reddy, Srinivas, Diwvakar, and Simhachalam. They suffered severe burns on their faces, hands, and other parts of the body. The management has not yet ascertained the cause of the incident.
The injured were shifted to a local hospital in Sangareddy town for immediate treatment. District Vice-President of CITU, Athimela Manik, visited them and demanded that the management shift them to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad for better medical care.
Manik said the victims’ survival depended on quality treatment. Holding the management responsible for the mishap, he warned that the union would stage a protest at the industry unless proper justice was done to the injured employees.
