Four-year-old boy drowns in water sump at under-construction house in Telangana’s Sircilla

Lingampalli Rishi was playing with other children in the neighbourhood when he accidentally fell into the open  sump

Rajanna-Sircilla: A four-year-old boy, Lingampalli Rishi, drowned after accidentally falling into a water sump at an under-construction house in Chinthalatana village of Vemulawada mandal on Saturday afternoon.

According to villagers, Rishi was playing with other children in the neighbourhood when he fell into the open sump. The other children panicked and ran to inform his parents. By the time the parents, Ravi and Swapna, rushed to the spot, Rishi had already drowned. Devastated by the sudden loss of their only son, the couple broke down inconsolably. They have two daughters.

Police registered a case based on the complaint lodged by the parents and launched an investigation.
