FTCCI hosts safety programme on fire, electrical hazards ahead of summer season in Hyderabad

The city saw over 50 incidents of fire mishaps from January 1 till February 10 and on average
Hyderabad: The Infrastructure, Real Estate & Smart Cities Committee of FTCCI (Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry) organised a programme on Electrical and Fire Safety for Industries and Residential Buildings as the summer season begins, a press release said.
Y Nagi Reddy, Director General, Telangana Fire Disaster Response Emergency and Civil Defence Department, C Lakshmi Prasad, Director (Retd). Telangana Fire Services and Civil Defence Training Institute, and V Srinivas, CEP participated in the event.
Nagi Reddy explained on fire compliances and preparedness of Telangana Fire Disaster Response Emergency department department. Suresh Kumar Singhal, President of FTCCI reiterated that safety is a shared responsibility.
Abhishek Tibrewala, Chairman of FTCCI Infrastructure, Real Estate & Smart Cities Committee said the State in 2024 recorded over 7,600 fire incidents, with Hyderabad alone accounting for 2,500 cases.
The city saw over 50 incidents of fire mishaps from January 1 till February 10 and on average, recorded about two or three fire accidents daily.
