Furious over pregnant daughter-in-law’s harassment during ED raids, Lalu vows not to bow before BJP

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has expressed anger over his pregnant daughter-in-law’s harassment during the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids in connection to the land-for-jobs scam at his son, Tejashwi Yadav’s Delhi residence. He took to Twitter against the searches carried out by the ED on his family, including daughters Chanda, Hema, and Ragini, along with son Tejashwi Yadav in Delhi-NCR on Friday.

“We have also seen the dark phase of emergency. We fought that battle too. Today my daughters, grand daughters and pregnant daughter in law have been kept sitting for 15 hours by the BJP’s ED in baseless vindictive cases. Will BJP stoop to such a low level and fight a political battle with us ?”, Lalu Prasad Yadav tweeted.

Lalu declared that his ideological fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will continue and none of his family members would bow down before BJP’s politics.

Earlier in the day, Rohini Acharya, the Singapore-based daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav, was also furious over the raids that were conducted by the ED on Tejashwi’s house.

Venting out her anger on social media, she said that Tejashwi’s wife Rajshree was pregnant and questioned the need to carry out searches at Tejashwi’s Delhi residence at such a time. She was also upset at simultaneous raids on the residence of younger sisters Hema, Chanda, and Ragini in the Delhi-NCR region.

“We will remember this injustice. Everything will be remembered. What crime have the my sisters little children committed ? What crime has my pregnant sister-in-law committed ? Why everyone is being tortured ? Everyone is being tortured since this morning. The only crime of these people is that Lalu-Rabri family have never bowed before fascists and rioters. The answer to this in will be found when time comes. Now all this is becoming intolerable,” Rohini Acharya tweeted.
