Future of crores of Indians in danger: AAP MP writes to PM Modi, seeks inquiry into ‘financial irregularities’
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh launched a scathing attack on the richest Indian, Gautam Adani’s group a day after the short seller Hindenburg Research, made allegations that the Adani Group “engaged in a brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme over the course of decades.”
In an interview, the AAP MP said that the future of crores of Indians is in danger because of Adani. The MP also wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) seeking seizure of Adani Group’s top official’s passport.
He also requested an investigation into the alleged financial irregularities in the Adani group of companies.
He said he had raised the issue at the all-party meeting on Monday and they even raised it today, saying that “future of crores of Indians is in danger because of Adani.”
The AAP MP said, “An economic fraud has been done by Adani, SBI and LIC were arm twisted to invest in Adani. We want to discuss Adani but the Centre is running away from this.”
The CFO of Adani Group, Jugeshinder Singh, on Monday condemned the Hindenburg report and said that it diverts its target audience attention, calling it “bogus.”
