
Candidates lamented that those who wrote the exam in English medium secured more marks, which harmed candidates particularly from rural areas who wrote in Telugu medium
Hyderabad: Group – I aspirants on Tuesday alleged that candidates who appeared for the Main exams in Telugu medium were meted out injustice and demanded answer scripts re-evaluation, along with recounting.
In a letter to TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham, candidates lamented that those who wrote the exam in English medium secured more marks, which harmed candidates particularly from rural areas who wrote in Telugu medium. They questioned whether it was their mistake to write the exams in Telugu medium.
According to aspirants, six senior candidates secured only 60 marks in paper-VI, while those who wrote in English medium obtained 80-90 marks.
Stating several candidates got more than 100 marks in economics, they alleged that some candidates who wrote the same answer in different ways were awarded 91 marks but those who prepared well and appeared for the exam got 70 marks in economics.
