Guru’s and Nizam Basketball Academy clinched men’s and women’s titles at the YMCA Secunderabad Inter-Collegiate 3×3 basketball tournament. Abhiram and Shruthi starred in their teams’ respective victories
Hyderabad: Guru’s and Nizam Basketball Academy won the men’s and women’s titles respectively in the YMCA Secunderabad Inter-Collegiate 3×3 basketball tournament at YMCA Secunderabad here.
In the men’s final, Guru’s scored an 18–15 win against Dunkit. For the winners, Abhiram played a key role, while for the losers, Srikanth and Aravind put up a good show.
In the women’s final, NBA scored an easy 13–5 victory over BITS, Hyderabad.
Shruthi used her height to good effect, scoring six baskets from the paint with good support from Anjali and Jahnavi. For the losers, Rachana and Snigdha played well.
The winners received Rs 6,000 and the runners-up Rs 4,000 in the men’s section, while the women’s winners received Rs 5,000 and the runners-up Rs 3,000.
