HCA discusses State-wide cricket development with BCCI

The Hyderabad Cricket Association highlighted its State-wide cricket development initiatives at the BCCI AGM in Mumbai and sought support, including future Women’s IPL matches. HCA also discussed infrastructure development, women’s cricket programmes and support from the Telangana government

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association was represented by its secretary, Jeevan Reddy, at the BCCI AGM held in Mumbai on Friday.

“Our secretary had a long, cordial discussion on matters relating to HCA, including the great push the present body has been making to take the game to all nooks and corners of the State of Telangana. A major step towards this is the appointment of the District Infrastructure Development Committee under the chairmanship of former secretary Shesh Narayan and four others,” according to a media release.

“A request for support was sought, apart from allotting Women’s IPL matches in future, since women’s cricket has been given a big push this year by conducting matches all over the State and holding selections/camps in Hyderabad,” HCA spokesperson and former secretary Shesh Narayan said.

“Several other important issues and the support from the State of Telangana, initiated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, were also brought to the notice of the BCCI secretary,” he said.
