‘He is not for international cricket’: Danish Kaneria’s shocking statement on rookie Pakistani pacer

England defeated Pakistan in the second Test played at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday (December 12) to seal the three-match series 2-0. Former Pakistani leg spinner Danish Kaneria slammed pacer Mohammed Ali for remaining wicketless in the Multan Test.

Kaneria felt that Ali did not have the qualities to play at the highest level. Notably, in the first match, the speedster had picked four wickets. The former Pakistan leg spinner also said that the speedster could not ball, bat or field.

On His YouTube channel, Kaneria, said, “Mohammad Ali is not a Test bowler. You’ve to think of other options. He doesn’t have the capability or aggression. He is good enough for the domestic circuit. Sorry, he is not for international cricket.”

The Pakistani leggie also lashed out at Faheem Ashraf. Kaneria also lashed out at the Pakistan team management for not playing Naseem Shah. Shah was reportedly rested due to a shoulder niggle. The former spinner was of the opinion that Shah should have been played alongside Ashraf.

“Why did you rest Naseem Shah? You could have played him with Faheem Ashraf. At least he could have done something and could have also scored runs. Mohammad Ali can’t bowl, bat or field. A complete waste. Very pathetic performance from the Pakistan team,” Kaneria added.

Notably, Ashraf also failed to take a single wicket in both innings of the match. The former Pakistan leggie is of the opinion that Pakistan’s fast bowling is on the decline as new pacers are unable to reverse swing the ball.

Talking about the match, Pakistan needed 355 runs to win. At stumps on Day 3, Pakistan was in a better position to chase the total. At the start of day 4, they lost Ashraf. However, Mohammed Nawaz and Saud Shakeel put on a gritty 80-run partnership. However, the hosts lost both set batters in quick succession. Pakistan were all out for 328 runs. They lost the match by 26 runs. The third match of the series will start on December 17 and will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.
