‘He thinks he will lose his seat when I…’: Imran Khan’s veiled dig at Pak Army chief

that the “law of the jungle” was prevailing outside the courts where “only one man” was making the decisions. Without naming him, Imran Khan lashed out at Army Chief General Asim Munir.

“He thinks he will lose his seat when I come to power,” Imran Khan said. “I will not be doing anything.”

Imran claimed this “fear” was the reason the entire country was being led toward destruction.

“I don’t know what will happen once I get out and I think they might try to arrest me again. And if they do arrest me, and there’s a reaction to it, they will hold me responsible. But how would I know?” Imran Khan said.

Talking about the violence that erupted across Pakistan after his arrest, Imran Khan said, “I don’t know what happened in the Lahore Corps Commander’s house. I was in jail. It is the army chief who is ruining this country and causing so much damage to this country that even our enemies did not do.”

When asked if his fight was against security agencies, PTI chairman Imran Khan sad his fight was against one man.

“It’s not the security agency, it’s one man — the army chief,” he was quoted as saying by The Dawn.

“There is no democracy in the army. The army is getting maligned by what is happening right now — and sadly the events that have happened when I was inside, I only found out afterwards — the army is getting maligned because of one man,” he told reporters.
