
An assistant professor, Malothu Srinivas, died after a mini bus lost control and collided with oncoming two-wheelers at Yellampet X Roads in Medchal. The driver cited brake failure, and police have launched an investigation into the tragic incident.
Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, an assistant professor died after being hit by a rashly driven mini bus at Yellampet ‘X’ roads in Medchal on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred when the private mini bus lost control and rammed into a road median before crashing into three oncoming two-wheelers.
One person, identified as Malothu Srinivas (35), died on the spot after suffering severe head injuries, while another was injured.
Srinivas, a native of Kamareddy district, was working as an Assistant Professor at Mallareddy College and residing in Kompally.
The accident occurred while he was returning to Hyderabad after visiting his hometown for the festival.
The driver claimed that the bus brakes failed, leading to the mishap.
The Medchal Police are investigating.
