Hyderabad: The Task Force (South-West) team along with the Langar Houz police foiled a murder conspiracy and arrested five persons and seized two country-made pistols and other material, altogether worth Rs 5 lakh on Friday.
The arrested persons are Syed Afroz, Mohd Shah Owais and Mohd Arbaaz Khan, Syed Firdos and Syed Imtiyaz Ali, all residents of Langar Houz. The absconding suspects are Jabber and Jameel.
The individuals involved in business dealings and financial transactions, conspired to eliminate their opponents due to alleged business rivalry, financial dispute and personal grudge that arose during the course of business.
According to the police, Syed Afroz, Ahmed Ali alias Ashraf and Ibrahim, are into real estate business, particularly in litigation land settlements and Ashraf, a listed rowdy sheeter of Narsingi police station, has not been paying his share in the business for quite some time. Ashraf is also involved in the murder of Syed Imtiyaz Ali’s younger brother in 2020.
The suspects who conspired to eliminate Ashraf, procured firearms and live ammunition from Jabber and Jameel and waited for an opportunity to execute the murder plan. Based on a tip-off from the informants, the police foiled the murder plan and nabbed the suspect apart from seizing the weapons.
