Hyderabad: Cyberabad police nab three smuggling narcotics, seizes 273 kilograms ganja

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police caught three persons who were involved in smuggling of narcotics on Sunday and seized 273 kilograms of ganja, a car and other items all valued at Rs. 1.01 crore.
Acting on a tip off, the team caught Pardeep Kumar alias Ajay Sharma (27), Sunny (25), and Manish Kumar (29). Two of their associates Sahil and Subash Biswas are absconding.
According to the police, on March 31 Pardeep, who owns pick up trucks, along with his friend Sahil, a ganja trader from Punjab went to Odisha and met Subash Biswas, ganja supplier. They paid him Rs. 1.30 lakh for Rs. 273 kilograms of ganja.
Afterwards, both of them returned to the city and informed Sunny, driver of the vehicle and Manish, helper to pick the ganja consignment and transport it to Haryana.
“On Sunday, while Sunny and Manish were transporting the ganja in their vehicle, they were caught. On interrogation, they revealed the name of Pardeep who was also taken into custody,” said DCP Medchal, N Koti Reddy.
The police are making efforts to nab Sahil and Subash, who are absconding.
