Hyderabad: Day 2 of Rising with Kindness youth summit coincides with International Peace Day
Day 2 of ‘Rising with Kindness’ Youth Summit, featuring global leaders, fireside chats, meditation with Daaji, Noted filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actor Tanya Maniktala, were part of the event.
Hyderabad: Noted filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actor Tanya Maniktala were part of the second day of Rising with Kindness youth summit being organised at Kanha Shanti Vanam, headquarters of Heartfulness here on Saturday.
A group Heartfulness experiential meditation session was led by Daaji, Guide of Heartfulness & President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, during the event which was also attended by Irrigation Minister, Uttam Kumar Reddy apart from Dr. Hamdan Al Shaer, Deputy Chairman of Zayed International Foundation for the Environment, Martin Raiser, SVP South Asia, World Bank, Sushil Ram, Advisor at the Commonwealth Secretariat, Paula Padrino Vilela, UNCCD and Jennifer Larson, US Consul General.
Daaji said, “The second day of Rising with Kindness also coincides with International Day of Peace. Our youth and students are the harbingers of spreading peace in the future.” About eight Yoga institutes participated in training the students on Yoga session and students also participated in Heartfulness Meditation, physical sports, and went on forest walks.
During the summit, interactive breakout sessions for students were held with focus on relationships with parents, friends, and understanding difficult people, being a supportive professional, and being a Heartful leader.
