Hyderabad: An elderly woman was allegedly murdered for a paltry sum of Rs 50 by her grandson when she refused to give him money. The victim, 76-year-old Susheela, a resident of Gandhinagar, lived along with her grandson Nithin and others, according to the police.
On Monday evening, Nithin asked his grandmother to give him Rs. 50 and when the woman refused to give her the amount, he pushed her from the second floor of a building.
The woman died after falling down. On coming to know about the incident, the Gandhinagar police reached the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. A case is registered.
