A 23-year-old BTech student from Yadadri-Bhongir died by suicide after jumping in front of a passenger train near the Yamnampet railway bridge in Ghatkesar. He was staying in a Scheduled Caste hostel. Police are investigating the incident
Hyderabad: An engineering student died by suicide by falling in front of a speeding passenger train on the railway tracks near the Yamnampet railway bridge in Ghatkesar on the city outskirts on Thursday.
K Rajender (23), a native of Yadadri-Bhongir district, was studying fourth year BTech at a private engineering college in the city and was staying in the Scheduled Caste Development Department (SCDD) hostel in Yamnampet.
Though the exact reason for his suicide is not known, he was learnt to have been upset for the past few days.
The Government Railway Police are investigating.
