Hyderabad: In a case of harassment and criminal intimidation, a woman was allegedly threatened by her ex-lover on killing her in case she avoided him and married someone else, in Sanathnagar.
According to police, the young woman from Fatehnagar had previously been in a relationship with a man named Ravi Kumar. However, over time, Ravi Kumar began harassing the woman, prompting her to disclose the matter to her family.
When the matter reached elders, they, in the presence of community elders, had made the two individuals mutually agree to end their relationship and cease all further contact.
Recently, the young woman’s marriage was fixed with another person. Learning about this, days before the event, Ravi Kumar had allegedly contacted the bridegroom and revealed details of his past relationship with the bride.
He then went on to call the woman and issued a life threat, warning her against marrying someone other than him. Shocked and fearing the consequences, the woman and her family approached the Sanathnagar police station and lodged a complaint.
Case is under investigation.
