
The car, reportedly being driven at high speed, lost control and first crashed into an electric pole on the road, then jumped off the road and ran into a thatched house
Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy died after a rashly driven car ran into a thatched dwelling on the roadside at Parvathapur in Medipally on the city outskirts on Saturday early hours.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 1 am, when the car was proceeding from Ghatkesar towards Uppal. On reaching Parvathapur, the car, reportedly being driven at high speed, lost control and first crashed into an electric pole on the road. With the same speed, the vehicle jumped off the road and ran into a thatched house, before coming to a halt.
K Akshith (4), who was inside the house, suffered grievous injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital, where he succumbed to injuries later in the day.
The Medipally police have booked a case and took up investigation. Efforts are on to identify and nab the car driver who went absconding, leaving the vehicle at the spot.
