
Over 400 players attend fast bowling trials to select underprivileged cricketers from Hyderabad’s Old City for free coaching at MSK Prasad’s International Cricket Academy
MIM president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi, star India pacer and Hyderabad’s Mohammed Siraj inaugurated the fast bowling trials to select underprivileged kids from Hyderabad’s Old City for free coaching at MSK Prasad’s International Cricket Academy (MSKSICA), here on Wednesday.
Former selector and veteran cricketer M S K Prasad, took the initiative to provide free coaching to talented bowlers selected in trials as a tribute to his childhood friend Muneer Ahmed and his coach Rehmatullah Baig. Over 400 young cricketers registered for the trials.
Addressing the young cricketers, Owaisi recalled his cricketing days and encouraged them to pursue the sport with passion and lauded MSK Prasad for his effrots to identify and nurture raw talent from the underprivileged sections by providing free coaching at his academy.
Siraj also shared his own struggles, recalling how he couldn’t afford a pair of shoes in his early days and had to play tennis ball matches to earn money. He urged the young cricketers to seize this opportunity provided by Prasad and his team to refine their skills and achieve great success.
The event was graced by several veteran cricketers from Andhra Pradesh, including Shahabuddin, Faseer Rehman, Satya Prasad, and Manoj Sai, T Prakash Babu, Amanullah Khan.
