Hyderabad: Grandson of dead industrialist says he never treated him like a family member

Keerthi Teja told police that he was insulted before the office staff and was not given the post of the Company Director
Hyderabad: The grandson of prominent industrialist and head of Welton Group of Companies, VC Janardhana Rao (86), in his statement to the police alleged that his grandfather used to look down upon him and insulted every day, calling him a beggar and did not even treat him as a family member.
The police, who interrogated the grandson K Keerthi Teja for five days for the murder of Janardhana Rao, recorded his statement in which he told them that he was insulted before the office staff and was not even given the post of the Company Director. Since then, the quarrels between him and his grandfather increased.
After deciding to kill his grandfather, Keerthi Teja allegedly bought a knife online and after an heated argument over property, stabbed him to death.
After the murder, he burned the blood stained clothes and disposed the knife, he reportedly told the police.
