Hyderabad: Intermediate student dies after falling from college building in Ghatkesar

Seventeen-year-old Abhichetan Reddy died after allegedly falling from the fourth floor of his college building in Yamnampet, Ghatkesar. Police are investigating all angles, including accident, suicide, and foul play

Hyderabad: An intermediate student died allegedly after falling from his college building at Yamnampet in Ghatkesar on the city outskirts on Thursday.

Police are probing all possible angles including suicide, accident and homicide.

The boy identified as Abhichetan Reddy (17) fell from the corridor on the fourth floor of the college building, even as his friends and other students in the college were present.

Other students alerted the college authorities, who rushed him to a private hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors.

No suicide note or anything indicating why the student could have resorted to the extreme step was known.

The case is under investigation and inquiries are on with his family members and friends.

Assamese woman found murdered in Begumpet

Hyderabad: An unidentified Assamese woman was found murdered in Greensland area of Begumpet on Thursday.

As per available information, locals found the body of a woman with severe injuries on her face and body and alerted the police.

On receiving information from Pandu, a tea stall owner, the Begumpet police reached the spot and took up investigation.

Police are interrogating suspects in connection with the murder. The incident has created a stir in the locality.
