Hyderabad: Invisible Scars Foundation launches initiative to support survivors of domestic violence

The ISF has also entered into MoU with Nirmaan Foundation to skill survivors, equipping them with tools for financial independence.

Hyderabad: City-based voluntary organization Invisible Scars Foundation (ISF) on Thursday launched ‘Humraahi’ initiative to support survivors of domestic violence and abuse, with the generous backing of Infosys Foundation.

The ISF has also entered into MoU with Nirmaan Foundation to skill survivors, equipping them with tools for financial independence.

Under the Humraahi initiative, the ISF will provide free online support to Indian survivors of domestic violence and abuse, offering immediate relief and guidance to survivors, from any part of the country—or even the world.

The services that will be available include awareness, first level support, mental health support, legal counselling, litigation support, shelter, skilling and livelihood.

This initiative was launched to support survivors without the need for them to travel to counselling centres, lawyer’s offices, or courts. They can now access these services from the comfort of their homes, at their convenience.

“This initiative marks a significant milestone for Invisible Scars Foundation, as it works toward its ambitious goal of supporting 500,000 survivors over the next five years. More than a helpline, Project Humraahi is a symbol of hope and a lifeline for those in need”, said Viiveck Verma, Director at Invisible Scars Foundation.
