Hyderabad: The Saifabad police arrested a man for posing as a government official and using a sticker with inscription ‘TS Secretariat, On Government Duty’ illegally.
According to the police, MA Sameer, a resident of Attapur, entered the Telangana Secretariat on Friday after claiming to be a government official. The Special Protection Force (SPF) grew suspicious over his movements and when the car was exiting from the Secretariat complex, they stopped and checked the identity card of the man. He failed to show any identity card to the security personnel.
Sameer was not a government official and was using the sticker on the car to hoodwink the security personnel. However, his wife was working as an outsourcing employee in the Secretariat.
The security personnel at the Secretariat handed over Sameer to the Saifabad police who on a complaint made by an SPF official registered a case.
Sameer admitted to the Saifabad police that he was doing ‘peharwikari’ in the Secretariat and often visited the place on some or the other work.
