Traces of human tissue found in the bucket and immersible water heater which accused used to boil wife’s body parts after killing her
Hyderabad: The Meerpet case, which was being investigated as ‘woman missing’ due to lack of evidence, has been altered to murder, reportedly after evidence was obtained from the crime spot.
The police have now pinned Guru Murthy, the husband of victim Venkata Madhavi, and added him as the suspect in the case on Saturday.
The investigation officials took support of the city CLUES team and top forensic teams from other States for sample collection and analysis to link the suspect to the case.
As the case required more of scientific investigation and technical analysis, it was sent for forensic laboratory.
Based on the forensic experts’ opinion, there were traces of human tissue found in the bucket and immersible water heater. This was corroborated with Guru Murthy’s confession.
The Rachakonda Police and the CLUES team had also used Blue Star technology to work in the case, which helped them detect blood stains even after washing or rubbing objects.
Though Guru Murthy confessed to having killed Madhavi, chopped her body into pieces before boiling them and disposing them, days of searching the spot by the cops did not yield any result.
